About

Chromatica is a visual effects studio founded in 2009 by Rodolfo Migliari, with a long-standing association with art-house cinema.

Over the years Chromatica has participated in the production of numerous films such as Paolo Sorrentino’s La grande bellezza (Oscar for Best Foreign Language Film 2014), Alice Rohrwacher’s trilogy (La Chimera, Lazzaro felice and Le Meraviglie), Marco Bellocchio’s Il Traditore and Rapito, Nanni Moretti’s Il sol dell’avvenire and Tre piani, Mario Martone’s Capri-Revolution, Il giovane favoloso and Nostalgia, Felix van Groeningen & Charlotte Vandermeersch’s Le Otto Montagne, Matteo Garrone’s Pinocchio and Dogman.

We also provided digital effects for numerous series, including Valeria Golino’s The Art of Joy, Bille August’s The Count of Monte Cristo, Tom Shankland’s The Leopard.

Chromatica won three David di Donatello Awards for best digital effects with Il Divo, La grande bellezza and Pinocchio.
